Daya Nayak, the encounter cop, storms Salman Khan's house; police intensively probe gunfire.

A group of police officers from Mumbai, including Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime Branch) Lakhmi Gautam and encounter specialist Daya Nayak, made their way to the doorstep of Bollywood star Salman Khan, where multiple gunshots were heard early Sunday.

During the early hours of Sunday, two unidentified individuals on motorbikes discharged guns outside Khan’s residence, prompting an increase in security measures around his home and a hunt for the culprits, as per an official statement.

A video released by news agency ANI captured Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime Branch) Lakhmi Gautam and encounter expert Daya Nayak at Salman Khan’s residence as they initiated an examination of the situation.

The security surrounding Khan’s house was ramped up, with authorities gathering footage from nearby CCTV cameras in an effort to identify the suspects. Local police, crime branch members, and forensic professionals arrived on the scene to gather evidence and commence an investigation into the occurrence.

The two individuals fired four shots outside Galaxy Apartments in Mumbai’s Bandra neighborhood, where the actor resides, at approximately 5 am before quickly fleeing the scene, confirmed the police official.

In March of the previous year, Khan’s office received a threatening email, leading the Mumbai Police to file an FIR against criminals Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar, along with an accomplice, under various sections of the Indian Penal Code due to the criminal intimidation.

The basis of the FIR stemmed from a report lodged with Bandra Police by an individual named Prashant Gunjalkar, who was a frequent visitor to Khan’s Bandra residence and operated an artist management firm.
