Congress playing with fire, recklessly risking Hindu-Muslim divide: Rajnath Singh

Congress playing with fire, risking Hindu-Muslim division Rajnath Singh Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh alleges Congress is “playing with fire” by attempts in creating a division between Hindu and Muslim communities for “electoral gains”. He goes on to say, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi “has no fire”.

“They trying to create a Hindu-Muslim divide for electoral gains. Congress is fomenting tensions on religious lines,” Union Minister shared with PTI news agency in an interview.

“The Congress keen on disturbing social harmony. They view the Muslim community solely as a vote bank. I offer a suggestion to them – let politics not be just about forming governments. The goal of politics ought to be nation-building,” he mentioned.

“Rahul Gandhi has no fire, however, Congress is playing with fire.”

Rajnath Singh proceeded to remark that “Congress aspires to cultivate fear psychosis; they intend to play the Hindu-Muslim card”.

“They don’t possess any significant concerns. They seek to form a government through dividing society on the basis of caste, creed, and religion, something they’ve consistently pursued.”

He further critiqued the party’s initiative to impose an “inheritance tax” if in power, asserting it would invoke a recession in the nation.

“Argentina and Venezuela adopted it and faced dire outcomes. Investors will lose faith in India,” Singh expressed.

Discussing the results of the ongoing Lok Sabha elections, Rajnath Singh confidently stated BJP will secure 370 seats, with the National Democratic Alliance, led by the party, surpassing the 400-seat milestone.

He affirmed that “these prognoses were formulated after extensive evaluation of the ground reality, not just for public consumption”.

Union Minister remarked, “Our seat count will escalate in Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal, and we will secure some seats in Tamil Nadu. Our footprints will be established in Kerala too. We are securing a decent number of seats in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.”

“We will enhance our count in Odisha, Jharkhand, and Assam. We dominate in Chhattisgarh,” he appended.

On delivering BJP’s electoral pledges, encompassing the enforcement of the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) and ‘One Nation, One Election’, Union Defence Minister declared, “We consistently honor our promises.”

“We will eternally preserve our credibility and will not compromise on the country’s unity and integrity. We fulfill all that we assert in our manifesto. We must implement whatever we state,” Singh concluded.
