“UP ATS Nabs Alleged ISI Agent in Russian Embassy Employee’s Arrest”

Officials have reported the arrest of Satendra Siwal, employee of the Indian embassy Russia, by the-Terrorist Squad () of Uttar Pradesh Siwal is alleged be involved in anti-national and is suspected of with the Pakistani intelligence, ISI. The arrest place in MeerutAccording to authorities, Si has been supplying the with highly confidential information related to strategic operations conducted by the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of External Affairs, and various Indian military establishments. The news was conveyed by PTI.

 

Siwal has been employed as a security assistant at the Indian embassy in Moscow since 2021.

 

The matter came to the attention of the UP ATS following intelligence received from multiple sources, indicating that ISI handlers had been enticing employees from the Ministry of External Affairs with monetary rewards in exchange for classified information. The police believe that this information could potentially pose a significant threat to the internal and external security of India.

 

Based on this intelligence, the police initiated an investigation involving electronic and physical surveillance methods. During the course of their inquiry, the police uncovered Siwal’s involvement in an anti-India network. Consequently, the UP ATS summoned Siwal for questioning.

 

During the interrogation, Siwal failed to provide “satisfactory” responses and eventually confessed to the crime, stated PTI.

 

An FIR has been registered against Siwal under Section 121A of the IPC (Waging War Against the Country) and the Official Secrets Act 1923.
