Arvinder Singh Lovely, Four Differents, Joined BJP Some Days Ago After Exiting Congress

Days after quits the position of Delhi Congress chief, Arvinder Singh Lovely joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday. Other four old Congress leaders– containing Rajkumar Chauhan, Naseeb Singh, Neeraj Basoya and Amit Malik– moved sides alongside Lovely at a party held at BJP headquarters in New Delhi today.

Thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi for “the chance to work for the people of Delhi,” Lovely said.

“We received a chance to fight for the people of Delhi under the banner of BJP and under governmental leader,” he said.

“I full hope and no doubt about the BJP government’s formation majority in the country. In the immediate future, the BJP’s banner shall fly in Delhi too,” the past Congress leader appended.

Lovely earlier entered the BJP in 2017 but came back to Congress fold.

The Delhi Congress unit suffered intense disruption and discord, with city leaders upset regarding the alliance with AAP and the high command giving preference to ‘outsiders’ over local leadership, in ticket allotment for Lok Sabha elections and other party’s matters.

Lovely, who received the chief of the Congress Delhi unit last year, resigned from the position on Sunday, raising guesses about crossing over to BJP.

Also followed by a series of departures involving a couple of known figures like Naseeb Singh and Neeraj Basoya, both prior Delhi legislators.

Rajkumar Chauhan, the former Delhi minister and the All India Congress Committee (AICC) member, also stepped down from the party last month post the Delhi Congress’ disciplinary committee disagreed with his ‘dissent’ towards the party line.
